Bookstore Year One Starts Spring 2026!

Bookstore Year One is Coming!

Registration for Bookstore Year One opens on Monday, October 20 @ 1:00 pm ET / 12:00 pm CT / 10:00 am PT. Registration is rolling and there is no limit to the number of stores that can enroll!

Bookstore Year One is a year long journey for new bookstores or new owners of existing bookstores. Each month will cover a new topic, with videos and readings to watch, then a live online discussion/Q&A with the instructors. Owners will also have a space to share ideas, chat, and ask questions in a Discord server. Our goal is to help stores avoid common mistakes and get set up for success.

Who is this for?

• For new stores, open 3 years or fewer
• For new owners of existing stores
• For stores that are brick and mortar, mobile, pop-up, or pocket models (not intended for online-only stores)
• For stores that are already invested in the industry with memberships in the ABA and their regional trade association

How much will the program cost?

For our first year we will be offering Bookstore Year One at a substantial discount: $500, with discount codes available from most regional trade associations.
