Carol Price

Carol Price was the managing owner of BookPeople of Moscow from December 2011 until June 2025, and worked as a bookseller and store manager prior to that at Old Harbor Books in Sitka, Alaska, and Brused Books in Pullman, Washington. Carol now focuses professionally on her work at PBS, serving as dean for the inventory management course. Carol has a strong desire to help other store managers and owners learn quickly what she learned in over 35 combined years of retail, non-profit, and education/outreach work. She has proven expertise in professional writing and communications, online course development, website content and upkeep, inventory management, buying frontlist and restocking, merchandising, event planning and publicity, human resources & staff training/management, vendor management, daily bookkeeping and finance, store operations, community relations, Carver method of governance, grant-writing, and leadership. Carol has also served as president of the PNBA, chair of the PNBA book awards committee, and a board member of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce. She lives in Tucson. (Updated July 2026)
