Holland Saltsman

After 15 years in Higher Education, Holland Saltsman opened The Novel Neighbor in 2014 in St. Louis, MO. Holland's vision was to create a space to sell new Adult /Children's books, locally made art, along with a community space for events. Heading into the 12th year, The Novel Neighbor hosts over a dozen book clubs, is nationally recognized for their curated Mystery Boxes and ever-popular book-themed camps and birthday parties. In 2019, Holland (and community members) founded The Noble Neighbor, a non-profit that brings free books and author experiences to under-resourced schools. In addition, Holland serves on her city's business development committee and was an advisor to USA Today's relaunch of their bestseller list.
