Tips for Using Discord

We will be using Discord as our platform to communicate with students, host office hours, and distribute handouts and other information. Discord is free. You'll receive detailed information about joining the course server before classes begin. Until then, download the sheet for tips and tricks.

Intro to Trello Mini-Courses

The instructors need a uniform method for students to turn in homework and have chosen to use
the free Trello software. Since Trello may be new to you, we’ve put together a set of
short instructional videos we encourage you to watch prior to the first class. Find all the videos on the handout.

MVB Special Offer for Students

The Inventory Management module is sponsored by MVB US, the company who operates the Pubeasy and Pubnet services, which facilitate easy and efficient electronic ordering of new books direct from publishers and distributors. In the course, students are required to create a free Pubeasy account and link it to one Big 5 publisher by class 10. If students have a supported EDI-capable POS system and their store has not already signed up for Pubnet, MVB is offering to waive their Pubnet setup fee (a $75 value) AND provide a
SAN number if needed (a $150 value). Read the handout for more information.
